Proof of English proficiency is required for all applicants whose bachelor’s degrees were obtained from institutions outside Hong Kong where the medium of instruction is not English. These applicants must meet the following minimum requirements for English proficiency: A score of 6.5 in International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or equivalent

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree; or a Bachelor’s degree with first class honours.

The aims of the programme are to equip students with the ability to: demonstrate advanced knowledge and understanding of their chosen focus area in education or related disciplines; comprehend current research paradigms and the nature of research enquiry in education or related disciplines; critically evaluate research and practice in their own professional area; conduct independent research of an original and robust nature; and contribute to the development of knowledge and practice in their area of professional endeavour.

Proof of English proficiency is required for all applicants whose first degree is obtained from non-English medium institutions. These applicants must meet the following minimum requirements for English proficiency: an overall band score of 6.5 in International English Language Testing System (IELTS); or a TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based test) or 79 (internet-based test); or a score of 480 in College English Test band 6 (CET-6).

Applicants should possess:a bachelor’s degree (in any discipline) from a recognised university or comparable institution; ora qualification deemed to be equivalent.

The programme is designed to accomplish the following objectives: To introduce students to key concepts, debates, and perspectives on global studies and global society, with critical and reflective appraisal of those from different canons and western and non-western perspectives; To equip students with a broad range of research methods including quantitative, qualitative, ethnographic, and interpretive, and the ability to discern between these methods; To empower students with the competencies for appreciating the ethical and value issues associated with global society, and for translating their own perspectives into professional practice.

The Programme is designed to accomplish the following objectives: To provide students with a solid foundation in public administration, such as in the mainland China and also from a comparative and global perspective; To illustrate the relation to law, ethics and other aspects of the public affairs; To develop students’ ability in the management of human resources, finance, sport and public amenities; To enable students to become reflective and critical administrators with the ability to assess and respond to the changing needs of the society.

Applicants should meet the English proficiency requirement. Applicants should have a degree from a university in Hong Kong or an English-speaking country; or submit one of the following original score reports/certificates for assessment: TOEFL (minimum score: 550 (paper-based); 79 (internet-based); or IELTS (academic): band score of 6.5 or above; or College English Test (CET 6): 450 or above

Applicants:should hold a bachelor’s degree, or qualification of equivalent standard from another university or comparable institution;with a background in social sciences and/or humanities will be given preference.

The Programme is designed to accomplish the following objectives: to provide students with a critical understanding of contemporary China from political, historical, economic, geographical and sociological perspectives; to sharpen students’ awareness of the complex relationships of historical, economic, geographical, political, and sociological factors in China through a multidisciplinary approach; and to enhance students’ understanding of the processes of change which will shape future relationship between Hong Kong, the rest of China, and the World.

Applicants should possess:a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university, ora qualification deemed to be equivalent.

To develop competent professionals who are critical, reflective and capable of generic social work practice and competent to face the challenges confronting social work in the changing society; and To educate graduate students to achieve the academic and professional qualification that is considered eligible for registration as Registered Social Workers in Hong Kong on the basis of a recognised social work degree.

The programme also emphasises a life-span approach to understanding the relationship among sport, leisure, and wellbeing and offers students with opportunities for active learning in various settings. The curriculum is designed to facilitate the following objectives: to advance students' understanding of the planning and provision of sport and leisure from a life-span perspective, including the provision of inclusive programmes; to advance students' skills and knowledge in the management of sport and leisure; to enable students to become reflective and critical practitioners who are able to assess and respond to changing needs of a society; and to enhance students' competence in reading and carrying out independent research.

Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or equivalent*.* Applicants applying for Physical Education must hold a recognised bachelor’s degree or equivalent majoring in PE or a relevant discipline.

The overall aim of the programme is to provide professional training for local primary and secondary school teachers who have obtained a bachelor's degree in an academic discipline to enable them to adequately assume their roles within the teaching profession. Specifically, the programme aims to develop in student teachers: personal qualities which support their daily work and professional development; functional knowledge of disciplines which informs educational practice; expertise in teaching specialising subjects in local schools; and knowledge essential for effective functioning within the profession and the wider school context.
