香港浸會大學(xué)(英文名:Hong Kong Baptist University,HKBU),簡稱浸大,創(chuàng)立于1956年,與香港大學(xué)并立為香港歷史最悠久的兩所高等學(xué)府,是一所由香港特區(qū)政府全面資助的公立研究型綜合大學(xué)。浸大以“全人教育”為其教育目標及理想,其校訓(xùn)為“篤信力行”。校園位于繁華的九龍?zhí)恋貐^(qū),交通四通八達。

作為一所蜚聲國際的世界一流大學(xué),香港浸會大學(xué)于多個全球權(quán)威大學(xué)排名中表現(xiàn)卓越。在2016年6月泰晤士高等教育(THE)最新發(fā)布的亞洲大學(xué)排名中,浸大位列第44名 ;在2016年9月最新公布的QS世界大學(xué)排名中位列全球第278名;在2015年QS世界大學(xué)學(xué)科排名中,浸大的傳媒專業(yè)位列世界100強,會計、金融、計算機、數(shù)學(xué)及統(tǒng)計學(xué)等眾多學(xué)科位列世界200強;于2016年8月最新公布的ARWU世界大學(xué)學(xué)術(shù)排名中,浸大亦躋身全球500強。

|地理位置

香港浸會大學(xué)坐落于九龍?zhí)梁陀^塘。校園分為五部分,分別為位于窩打老道啟用的“善衡校園”、位于聯(lián)福道的“逸夫校園”及“浸會大學(xué)道校園”,以及位于觀塘為前皇家空軍軍官俱樂部的“啟德校園”。此外,持續(xù)進修學(xué)院在新界沙田石門設(shè)有“石門校園”。

學(xué)校以英語授課,獲政府授權(quán)頒發(fā)博士、碩士、學(xué)士等學(xué)位,畢業(yè)生取得之學(xué)位獲內(nèi)地及國際認可。

浸大教研并重,文理互通,全面落實全人教育的理念,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生畢業(yè)后之工作及升學(xué)能力。浸大現(xiàn)有全職教學(xué)人員近500人,本科生及研究生超過10000名。

 

大學(xué)創(chuàng)辦至今,一直致力于優(yōu)質(zhì)教學(xué)與研究,廣納賢才、服務(wù)社會、探求學(xué)術(shù)、追求卓越。大學(xué)實行英語教學(xué),以配合國際化。

除一般課堂學(xué)習(xí)外,浸大亦通過人文素質(zhì)教育、舍堂教育等項目,在課堂內(nèi)外落實全人教育的理念。

    Proof of English proficiency is required for all applicants whose bachelor’s degrees were obtained from non-English medium institutions. These applicants must meet the following minimum requirements for English proficiency: a score of 537 (paper-based) or 74 (internet-based test) in TOEFL; or an overall band score of 6.0 in IELTS; or a score of 450 in the new College English Test (CET-6) of China; or a score of 60 (pass grade) in the Test for English Majors Level 8 (TEM-8) of China; or pass in both oral and written examinations in the Public English Test System Level 5 (PETS-5) of China.
    Applicants should possess:a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or comparable institution; ora qualification deemed to be equivalent.
    Aims To enable students to develop multiple interpretive perspectives (religious and philosophical) on perennial and contemporary issues in different contexts of public affairs. To help students appreciate and respect diversity within modern society in order to assess and handle conflicting values in critically informed and creative ways.     Applicants are expected to have advanced competence in spoken and written English. A good knowledge of other languages (including Chinese) would be an added advantage. If English was not the medium of instruction in their first degree, applicants are required to provide evidence of good English proficiency.
