Applicants normally must satisfy the University’s General Entrance Requirements for taught postgraduate programmes, i.e. they should be graduates of an accredited bachelor’s degree programme or equivalent. Both fresh graduates and individuals with some working experience in relevant industries are invited to apply. Applicants without the specified qualifications may still be considered for admission to the programme if they are able to present equivalent qualifications. All applicants must have a demonstrated capacity to pursue the programme.The School assumes that applicants will have achieved a basic level of computer literacy. The Degree
The Master of Arts in Creative Media (MACM) is a new degree offered with effect from 2015/16, replacing the existing Master of Arts in Media Cultures (MAMC). The MACM offers a humanities-oriented curriculum intended to complement the School of Creative Media;s mission to investigate the most significant artistic, professional, and socially relevant aspects of contemporary mediated expression. Successful applicants will join one of twostreams within the degree: Curating Art and Media (CAM) orMedia Cultures (MC). The distinctive area of creative media studies represented by each stream caters to diverse student interests under a curriculum structure that provides a broad and flexible academic framework.
The Streams
The Curating Art and Media Stream (CAM) aims at developing the creative, intellectual, and technological competence required of future leaders in the art and media curating sector. It emphasizes the impact of digital media on all aspects of art, with a focus on developing capabilities in using new technologies in curating, exhibiting, and communicating art. Graduates will gain a critical understanding of key issues in contemporary practice of art and media, as well as solid skills in research, curating, collection, and exhibition to become successful in their careers or further studies in research degree programmes.
The Media Cultures Stream (MC) is intended to complement the Master of Fine Arts (MFACM) offered by the School of Creative Media, through an emphasis on the critical consideration of significant areas of media history, theory, and criticism. In keeping with the School;s mission, the curricular emphasis is in areas of digital media, but traditional media forms (e.g. film) are also addressed. This stream is intended to provide postgraduate level preparation especially for media professionals and graduates, and for applicants from other professional areas in which the role of being a media specialist is increasingly desirable or necessary.

Those with an undergraduate degree in other disciplines but, with an attainment of A-level physics or equivalent, or sufficient working experience in the related fields, will be considered on a case by case basis.
This programme aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills in the areas of energy and environment, with special reference to the Asian settings. In particular, the programme caters to the rising demand from the business and industry sectors for managers with contemporary views on energy, environment and sustainability. Besides emphasis on technical sciences, graduates of the programme are equipped with holistic knowledge in the related energy and environmental aspects of economics, policies and laws. Based on such knowledge, the graduates can develop innovative and creative solutions to various energy and environmental problems.

The programme aims to develop expertise in domestic and international arbitration and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific Region; and to foster original research in arbitration and ADR.
More specifically, it aims to:
providelegal and general knowledge of arbitration and other methods of resolving disputes, as well as practical skills in relation to the process, to professionals, executives and others with existing expertise in a broad range of professional,industrial and commercial activities;

To provide a well-rounded legal education to those who already possess a first degree in a non-law discipline (or a law degree from a non-common law jurisdiction) and who wish to enter the legal profession in Hong Kong or who want to equip themselves for a career in law-related employment.

The programme prepares students to enter the legal profession as trainee solicitors or as pupil barristers. Students will learnfrom experience and through instruction to fulfil the professional and social responsibilities they will be expected to fulfill as members of the legal profession.
Graduates of the programme will be able to communicate at an advanced level, both verbally and in writing; obtain and act upon clients; instructions and provide practical solutions for clients; objectives and problems; organize and manage their workto meet deadlines; research and learn independently; demonstrate strategic and critical thinking in their professional work; and identify professional ethical issues which may arise in practice and deal with them professionally. They will have gained experience in simulated transactions and in the skills necessary to carry out the tasks related to delivery of a range of legal services.

The programme aims to provide an intensive study of issues and practices relating to Chinese and Comparative Law, International Economic Law, Common Law, Maritime and Transportation Law, Intellectual Property and Technology Law, and Corporate and Commercial Law. Students may also choose to follow a general course of study. City University of Hong Kong;s School of Veterinary Medicine, in collaboration with the University of Stirling (Scotland), will be introducing an MSc in Aquatic Production and Veterinary Health in September 2017. The main objective of the programme is to give students training in the wide range of disciplines and skills necessary for the investigation, prevention and control of aquatic animal diseases. Student will gain an understanding of the biology, husbandry and environment of farmed aquatic species, in addition to specialist expertise in aquatic animal diseases. The graduates will be able to appraise aquaculture operations and contribute to management decision making. It is also intended to prepare students who later plan to pursue a PhD in the area of aquacultural science.
