Typically a 1st or 2:1 Honours degree in psychology (or its international equivalent). Applicants with an undergraduate degree from a UK university, the degree must be recognised by the British Psychology Society (BPS) as providing Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC). Applicants with an undergraduate degree from a non-UK university must have a single honours degree in psychology. The degree does not need to be recognised by the BPS. If you do not have an undergraduate degree in psychology, we will consider applicants who have successfully completed a BPS accredited Masters conversion degree.
The MSc Applied Clinical Psychology (subject to University approval) degree will provide you with the background knowledge and professional skills to enable you to progress into a career in psychology. You will be equipped with up-to-date knowledge of theory and practice issues relevant to UK and international health care settings. You will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to undertake research and development in healthcare settings, including research design, governance, ethical and organisational issues. You will be introduced to the foundation skills of clinical psychology practice including interviewing, observation and psychometric assessment.
