Financial Economics deals with the fascinating world of pricing, interest rates and shares and how rational (or even irrational!) decisions affect them. You will explore the global role of these financial systems in modern economics and learn to analyse the impact of economic events on financial markets. You will become a proficient user of financial software and complex data sources which will enable you to better understand the impact and reach of economic decisions.

This degree is designed for students who have studied either or both French and Italian to A-level, and wish to study both of those languages to degree level while developing their understanding of the social, political, and cultural forces that have shaped contemporary France, the Francophone world, and Italy. This course allows you to take French or Italian from beginners' level if you wish to. You will divide your time equally between both Italian and French and by the end of the course you will reach an equivalent standard of knowledge and ability in both languages.
