|概況

西澳大學是澳大利亞第六所大學，也是澳大利亞最為優(yōu)良的五星級大學之一。羅馬風格的建筑坐落在花園般的校園內(nèi)。2004年的全澳大學排名對西澳大學的知名度、科研水平、師資力量、畢業(yè)生滿意度都給予了五星級的最高評價。

|地理位置

位于充滿活力的澳大利亞西澳洲首府—佩斯市。學校的克勞利(Crawley)主校區(qū)坐落于天鵝河畔，是西澳洲最古老的校園，距離珀斯市中心僅五公里的占地65英畝。其赤褐色的校園建筑多用大塊的沙巖建造而成，掩映于景色優(yōu)美、被列為遺產(chǎn)的公園之中，因此被公認為澳大利亞最美麗的校園之一。

西澳大學是澳大利亞 “八校聯(lián)盟”的成員之一，也是澳大利亞進入2011年QS世界前一百名校排名中僅有的五所高校的其中一員。重點強調(diào)科研和教育是西澳大學的特點，大學以培養(yǎng)了100名羅茲學術獎得主和諾貝爾獎得主。西澳大學11.5%的新生修讀研究式授課的學位，而國家平均水平是4.0%。這一統(tǒng)計數(shù)字在澳洲所有大學中排名第二。每年西澳大學在科研方面的收入達到7100萬澳元，在科研方面的投入達到1700萬元。每年畢業(yè)生中有超過250名博士生，名列前茅。西澳大學畢業(yè)生在獲得全職工作方面始終強于所有澳洲西部其他大學，在全澳洲大學統(tǒng)計中也穩(wěn)居前列。

校園內(nèi)除了有餐廳和學生服務中心之外，還有電影院、銀行、郵局、理發(fā)院、旅行社、健身中心等等數(shù)不完的設施，整個學校生活就有如社會的縮影。西澳大學圖書館是學術性圖書館現(xiàn)藏有上百萬的書冊，85萬多本書籍，各類報刊雜志48萬份，還有23萬件手稿已存入電子資料庫，另還有遍布校園內(nèi)的信息網(wǎng)絡，可以查閱全澳和世界各地的一些著名大學，研究機構(gòu)的資料。生物科學圖書館、商務圖書館、化學書館、教育學、建筑學和美術圖書館、地質(zhì)學收集品、人文學科和社會科學書館、法律圖書館、地圖收藏、數(shù)學和自然科學圖書館、醫(yī)學及牙科圖書館、音樂圖書館、學者中心、大學生自然科學圖書館。西澳大學圖書館的珍貴書籍收藏中有一些稀世珍品，如：1478年出版的拉丁文《圣經(jīng)》封面用木板金屬環(huán)裝訂的。還有幾件從16━17世紀的珍貴地圖，其中一張有澳大利亞、亞洲及太平洋地圖。

|學校住宿

    The Master of Translation Studies will provide students with world class specialised translation training. Designed for graduates pursuing bilingual and multilingual careers, this professional course is the first of its kind to be taught in Western Australia. The course provides a strong research training component, combined with an emphasis on practical skill acquisition. A Chinese translation of the course information is also available. In response to industry demand a Chinese Interpreting specialisation will be introduced in 2017.

    This course is delivered by The Australian Urban Design Research Centre. You'll develop an in-depth understanding of urban design theories and issues; techniques of urban analysis; and skills for the design and development of cities and urban places. This course also includes designing and implementing a process to resolve a complex urban problem.
